“An island of comfort within a jungle. Modern spacious flat, kitchen with everything you need, balcony with a stunning view, small grocery store right outside. It is not near the beach, but you can get to the ocean in 10 minutes – tuk-tuk is always nearby. Or spent extra 5 and go to local Wijaya (aka Turtle) beach, where you can swim among the turtles and feed them. Don’t leave any open food on the table or in the drawers though – army of ants will come and try to take your bread away. 10/10, will come again.”

“We recently stayed at the Aganthuka Villa and he felt the place was superb. The place is clean and in pristine condition. Loved that they had everything including a washing machine with drying facilities. Though you are not in the beach front we could see the sea from the windows. The benefit of staying on the 9th floor with a nice breeze and the spectacular . The security staff was very friendly and nice. There is a little shop just next to the apartments for all your day today needs. We had so much fun and would love to stay there again.”

I had the pleasure of staying at Aganthuka Villas recently, and it was an absolute delight.
The location is superb, with close proximity to Galle’s historic fort, which made exploring the city’s rich history and vibrant culture a breeze. The stunning views of the Indian Ocean from the villa are simply breathtaking and added an extra layer of serenity to our stay.
The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need, from efficient air conditioning to keep us cool in the tropical climate to reliable and fast Wi-Fi for staying connected. The fully equipped kitchenette was a bonus, allowing us to prepare meals at our leisure.

My recent stay at Aganthuka Villas was truly delightful. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to Galle’s historic fort and immersing us in the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. The breathtaking views of the ocean from the villa in addition to the cool breeze and sunset views added a serene touch to our experience. The villa itself was well-equipped with air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Highly recommend for a seamless blend of relaxation and exploration.

My family (myself F22, teen sibling, and my parents) stayed in Galle for about a week. We didn’t know much about Galle to start with, so Aganthuka Villas was a godsend.
Aganthuka Villas is like a home away from home, easily accessible from the Colombo road and is only ~15 minutes by car from the Fort and the beach. The view of Galle and the sea is absolutely gorgeous. Amenities include a kitchen with a gas-powered range, oven, full-size fridge, and washer—plates, utensils, towels, bedding, etc all provided. It left nothing to he desired. The cleanliness is pristine. The WiFi is great, and the provided power converters were very useful. There’s an outdoor pool facility and indoor gym, both of which we enjoyed. There is a master bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom; a room with a queen bed, closet, and balcony; a room with a twin bed, wardrobe, and balcony; and a living room and dining room with nice furniture, a TV, and another balcony. After a day in the hot Galle sun, the air-conditioner/ceiling fan combo is HEAVENLY.
The owner is a lovely guy IMHO, and he was really easy to work with. It was a piece of cake to get the information and access to the place after we made the initial inquiry. He also gave us a ton of links to guide us through different possible activities in Galle. We didn’t have time for everything, sadly, but the guidance was REALLY helpful for the stuff we did get to. They’re extremely thorough and digestible, and reading them is like having a personal tour guide.
